Heavy rain has caused serious problems before the MotoGP race in Brazil this weekend. The event will take place at the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna, but large parts of the circuit have been flooded.

The rain began early in the week and continued for many hours. By the next day, water had covered several important areas of the track. One of the worst places was the tunnel that leads to the paddock, where teams prepare their bikes, and it was filled with deep water.

Some sections of the circuit, including corners that riders must pass at high speed, were also under water. This made the track unsafe and impossible to use at that moment.

Workers quickly started trying to fix the situation. They used pumps to remove the water and worked to clean and dry the surface. There was a short pause in the rain, which helped them, but more bad weather is expected.

After the water disappeared, workers checked the surface to make sure it was safe. The quick recovery means there is much less risk of delays to the race weekend.

The race organisers are still planning for the MotoGP event to go ahead as scheduled. This race is important because it is part of the 2026 MotoGP World Championship and marks the return of MotoGP racing to Brazil after many years.

Teams and riders are now waiting to see what will happen next. If the weather improves, practice and qualifying sessions should continue normally. However, if the rain returns, it could cause more delays or changes to the weekend schedule.
