Alpine has rejected speculation over differences between its drivers, insisting both Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto receive equal treatment despite a clear results disparity.

Alpine has responded to growing speculation about a possible imbalance between its drivers, making it clear that both Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto are given equal conditions.

Gasly has led the team’s early-season charge with three consecutive points finishes, including a strong run at Suzuka where he kept Max Verstappen behind. He has scored 15 of Alpine’s 16 points so far, while Colapinto has struggled to match his pace.

In an official statement, Alpine stressed that there is no difference in how the two drivers are treated:

"Franco is our driver and the team has placed its trust in him… his place in the team is with equal footing alongside Pierre."

The team also dismissed more extreme claims and addressed how upgrades are handled:

"Any questions about sabotage or not giving Franco the same car are completely unfounded… there might be times this year when… upgrades come to one car first… [but] the aim will always remain to bring upgrades to both cars where possible."

Alpine added that it would make no sense to compromise its own results, especially in a tight midfield fight where every point matters.

This is not the first time Colapinto’s fanbase has reacted strongly in such situations. In the past, tensions escalated online, with Esteban Ocon facing threats after an incident with Colapinto, while Jack Doohan also received backlash during their fight for a seat at Alpine.
