Aston Martin has introduced a striking special livery for the Monaco Grand Prix in collaboration with principal partner Maaden, highlighting the journey of raw materials from the Earth into high-performance engineering components.
Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team has unveiled a one-off Monaco Grand Prix livery themed around the transformation of minerals and metals from nature into advanced racing technology. Developed with principal partner Maaden, the design reflects the idea of “from rock to racetrack”, linking natural resources to their final use in elite motorsport.
The livery features a colour-shifting, iridescent finish created using a specialist wrap material, marking the first time the team has used this type of application. The effect is designed to change visually depending on light conditions throughout the Monaco weekend.
The special design is not limited to the car, as it will also appear on the drivers’ race suits and on the helmets and overalls of the number one mechanics supporting Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.
Jefferson Slack, Aston Martin’s Managing Director for Commercial, said the project is intended to celebrate the team’s partnership with Maaden and highlight the company’s role in transforming natural materials into components used across modern industries, including Formula 1. He added that the team is looking forward to seeing the livery stand out on the streets of Monaco during the race weekend.
As announced earlier, McLaren will also run a special livery in Monte Carlo as part of its 1,000th race celebrations.
