Marco Bezzecchi will stay with Aprilia Racing for the next chapter of MotoGP after signing a new long-term contract. The Italian rider and the team made the announcement in a fun and creative way after his brilliant 2025 season.
Aprilia Racing have confirmed that Marco Bezzecchi has signed a new multi-year contract with the team, meaning the Italian rider will stay with them into the next era of MotoGP. His decision makes him the first big name to settle his future as the 2027 rider market begins to take shape, while many other top riders are still expected to change teams.
The team shared the news in a fun and romantic style, comparing the agreement to a marriage between Bezzecchi and his Aprilia RS-GP bike, which he nicknamed “Albarosa”. After his final race win of the 2025 season in Valencia, Bezzecchi even joked by kneeling next to the bike as if he were proposing. Aprilia’s announcement described the contract like a relationship agreement, covering care, trust, shared success, and working together on track.
Behind the jokes, the message is serious. Bezzecchi and Aprilia believe in each other and want to build something strong for the future. The team trust his talent, and he believes in the project at the Noale factory in Italy.
Bezzecchi said he is extremely happy to renew his contract for another two years. He explained that from his first day with Aprilia, his goal was to help create a long-term project. He feels strong support from the team and the factory and hopes he can give them many happy moments on track.
Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola said the renewal was the team’s main priority. He said they wanted to celebrate the signing in a fun way that suits Bezzecchi’s personality. Rivola also said the team has built solid foundations, and the fact that Bezzecchi chose to stay, even with other offers, shows the strength and spirit of the project.
The new deal follows an outstanding 2025 season for Bezzecchi, his first year with Aprilia Racing. He became the most successful rider in the team’s MotoGP history. During the year, he won three full Grand Prix races at Silverstone, Portimão, and Valencia. He also took three Sprint race wins at Misano, Mandalika, and Phillip Island. Over the season, he stood on the podium 15 times and secured five pole positions in Austria, Misano, Mandalika, Portimão, and Valencia. These results helped him finish third in the world championship with 353 points.
By keeping Bezzecchi, Aprilia have secured one of the fastest and most exciting riders on the grid. His speed, smooth riding style, and confidence on the front of the bike make him a perfect fit for the RS-GP. With stability in the team and strong recent results, Aprilia will now aim to fight even more often at the front as MotoGP moves towards a new technical era.
