The start of the race went well for Marc Márquez, who had a great start. Di Giannantonio, starting from 3rd place, had a bad start and was overtaken by both Trackhouse riders.

Franco Morbidelli dropped down the order after the start, falling to 14th. After the first lap, the top 10 order looked as follows: M. Márquez, A. Márquez, Fernández, Ogura, Di Giannantonio, Martin, Bagnaia, Acosta, Quartararo, Miller.

On lap 4, Fabio Di Giannantonio crashed out of the race at Turn 10, making it a quick end to his Sunday.

On lap 8, there was a second yellow flag. This one was caused by Joan Mir crashing at Turn 13. At the end of lap 9, Álex Márquez, who had so far had a great race, crashed at Turn 13.

At lap 10, the top 10 looked as follows: M. Márquez, Fernández, Ogura, Acosta, Martin, Bagnaia, Quartararo, Miller, Marini, Binder.

The incident created a gap for Marc Márquez, who was over 1.2s ahead of Fernández. Even Ai Ogura was 0.600s behind his teammate Fernández and was trailed by Acosta from behind.

As the race progressed, there wasn't any overtaking. If there was any change, it was due to other riders crashing. The only change that happened was Toprak Razgatlıoğlu riding behind Cal Crutchlow.

At lap 16, the top 10 looked as follows: M. Márquez, Fernández, Ogura, Acosta, Martin, Bagnaia, Quartararo, Miller, Marini, Binder.

At the front, Marc Márquez had a gap of over 2s to Fernández behind him. Meanwhile, Ogura created a gap to Acosta behind him while closing on Fernández ahead of him. Meanwhile, Acosta had a gap of over 4s to the rest of the grid.

On lap 22, the fourth yellow flag of the race was out. It was caused by Cal Crutchlow crashing out of the race.

Ai Ogura finally caught up to his teammate and managed to overtake him, moving into 2nd place. There was a battle for 4th between Martin and Bagnaia. Bagnaia tried to attack Martin but was so far unsuccessful.

Maverick Viñales had some technical problems with his bike, so he retired from the race and made his way back into the pits.

However, with 3 laps to go, the battle between Martin and Bagnaia got intense. There was a moment where Bagnaia tried to overtake on the inside, almost getting ahead of Martin.

And it was Marc Márquez who won here at Sachsenring. Ogura finished in second place, with Fernández rounding out the podium. There was a battle until the end between Martin and Bagnaia.
