Formula 1 Lance Stroll Max Verstappen F1 drivers’ lives

With Formula 1 paused in April due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix, here are three racing events worth following.

Formula 1 fans will have to wait for the next race, but April still offers several interesting motorsport events. From GT racing to endurance and top-level single-seaters, there is plenty to watch during the break.

1. Stroll in GT action at Paul Ricard (12 April)

Lance Stroll will stay active during the break by racing in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at Circuit Paul Ricard.

The Aston Martin driver will compete in a GT3 car, gaining extra race experience outside Formula 1. It is a rare chance to see a current F1 driver in endurance-style racing, and a useful opportunity for Stroll to stay sharp ahead of the next Grand Prix.

2. Verstappen targets more Nürburgring experience (18–19 April)

Max Verstappen will use the free April window to compete in the Nürburgring 24h Qualifiers on the famous Nordschleife.

He will share a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo with Lucas Auer in two four-hour races, as part of his preparation for a start in the Nürburgring 24 Hours in May.

The event is one of the most demanding challenges in motorsport, and Verstappen’s participation adds extra attention. A live stream will also be available on our website.

3. Super Formula continues in Japan (25 April)

Japan’s Super Formula provides a strong single-seater alternative during the F1 break, with the next round taking place at Autopolis.

The series includes several drivers with Formula 1 links, such as Ayumu Iwasa and Luke Browning, both working as F1 reserve drivers. Former F1 racer Kamui Kobayashi is also part of the grid.

With fast cars and close racing, Super Formula remains one of the most competitive championships outside Formula 1. You can follow Super Formula via official SFgo app.
