Autodromo Nazionale Monza, often called ‘the Temple of Speed’, is the home race for Ferrari. Like every year, Tifosi hopes that their driver will give them the desired victory, for which they are waiting for since 2019. This year Ferrari plans to introduce new upgrades, which might help this wish to become reality.
The season started off very strong for the Italian team, and it seemed like they would consistently compete for podium finishes. However, after Charles Leclerc secured his first home victory at the Monaco Grand Prix, things took a turn for the worse. The Italian team introduced an upgraded underfloor in Spain, which led to porpoising issues with the SF24 in high-speed corners and showed that upgrades are needed.
Monza is a low down-force track, which normally requires some small changes in the car’s set up for the teams, to complement the high-speed nature of the circuit. However, that is not everything that Ferrari is planning to change on the SF24. Ferrari’s team principal Fred Vasseur and Charles Leclerc himself confirmed that Ferrari will bring upgrades to the home track.
Originally, the package was rumoured to be introduced in Zandvoort, however, the perfect time is definitely in front of the home crowd. According a report from Formula Uno, Ferrari is set to introduce the following upgrades:
Further upgrades, including a new underfloor and revised side pods, are likely to be introduced as the Singapore Grand Prix approaches.
The team from Maranello also went with fully black driver’s race suits and black merch representing the "full carbon" them. However, to fan's sadness, the car won’t be fully black, only with small dark details.

Fernando Alonso said: “Ferrari will be the car to beat in the next two races.”
Later on, Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur responded: “I don’t need to have someone telling me that we are the favourite or not. We will have exactly the same approach.”
Ferrari and Tifosi are looking forward to this year’s Grand Prix and the atmosphere, that comes with it. Will the Italian team give it the cherry on top and finally win their home race after 5 years, possibly thanks to the new upgrades?
