Tech3 has not yet chosen which manufacturer it will race with in 2027. While Honda is strongly linked with the team, no final decision has been made as MotoGP prepares for major rule changes.
The Tech3 MotoGP team says it has not yet decided which bikes it will use in 2027, even though there are strong rumours linking it with a possible move to Honda.
At the moment, Tech3 races with KTM machines, but its future is still open. Team manager Nico Goyon explained that no final decision has been made about 2027. He made it clear that the team is still thinking carefully about its options and has not chosen a manufacturer yet.
One reason for all the talk is that Honda wants to grow its presence in MotoGP. It is believed that Honda would like to have six bikes on the grid instead of fewer, and Tech3 could be a good partner for this plan.
However, nothing is confirmed. Tech3 is known for taking its time before making big decisions, and it wants to choose the best option for its future. The team has a long history in racing and has worked with different manufacturers before, including Honda in earlier years and later Yamaha and KTM.
The timing is important because MotoGP will change its rules in 2027. The bikes will have smaller 850cc engines, less aerodynamics, and new tyres. These changes mean that teams must think very carefully about which manufacturer will give them the best chance to be competitive in the new era.
At the same time, Honda is already focusing strongly on the future. Reports say the company is putting a lot of effort into building a new bike for the 2027 rules, rather than improving its current machine. This shows how serious it is about becoming competitive again.
Even with all the rumours, Tech3’s position is simple. It is keeping its options open and will only decide when it is sure about the best path forward. The team wants stability and a strong future, especially with such big changes coming to the sport.
In short, Tech3 has not chosen its 2027 partner yet. Honda is interested, and talks may be happening, but the final decision is still to come.
