Q1

In this part of qualifying the slowest 5 drivers will be eliminated from advancing. Bortoletto, who had a scary crash in the sprint, was waiting if his car would be repaired in time for him to join the session or not. From the scene of it, it looked unless there would be a red flag, he would be unable to rejoin.

In this part of qualifying some drivers made their way on the track to get in some early laps. The times started in a time range from 1:11s to 1:10s. So far most of the drivers opted for soft tyres while few of them opted for medium.
With 13 minutes left, Norris was in the lead of this part of qualifying, but with the attempt Hamilton started, it was not for long. And Hamilton indeed took the first place, with fastest first and second sector.

With 11 minutes left the drivers at risk were: Piastri, Colapinto, Russell, Antonelli, Bortoletto. With each attempt the drivers in first place were changing. Bearman took the first place and was also the first driver to be in a time range of 1:09s. Other drivers managed to improve their times as well, like Piastri who was now in 2nd place, with Albon in 3rd. After all there were still 5 minutes left of the session and almost everyone were in pits.

And with the session nearing the end, the drivers made their way back on the track to improve their times before the end. The drivers at risk were: Verstappen, Colapinto, Ocon, Tsunoda, Bortoletto.

As the measured laps started, Lando Norris took the first place with all three sectors purple. While Leclerc had started a decent attempt that moved him to 4th place. Ocon improved his time and moved to 15th place, which was not enough for him to stay there. Gasly on the other hand put in incredible effort and jumped to 2nd place.

With the chequered flag out, Verstappen who was just finishing his lap was unable to improve and it was official that he is eliminated in 16th place.

Q2

In this part of qualifying again the slowest 5 drivers will be eliminated. The first on track were the Williams duo, Albon and Sainz. However, Albon was the only one to finish the lap, with a time 1:10.351. Meanwhile other drivers finished their attempts as well. So far Piastri was in the first place for a while, before Bearman took it from him, yet both drivers were in a time range of 1:09s.

And as others finished their attempts, both Hamilton and Leclerc were unable to get into the top 5. While Norris jumped to 3rd place with used tyres. Everyone had soft tyres in this part of qualifying. And just like yesterday, Antonelli managed to improve his time and he jumped to 2nd place. So far the drivers in the elimination zone were: Gasly, Stroll, Leclerc, Hulkenberg, Sainz.

The drivers made their stop in the pits and returned for the final push on the track. Leclerc managed to find improvement and jumped to 3rd place. So did Gasly who improved to 5th place, while Albon dropped to elimination zone. However, Norris so far had the fastest 2 sectors and he could take the first place which he did, but he had also much slower third sector.

Hamilton meanwhile was fighting for improvement so he would get out of the elimination zone. And he was unable to do so, remaining in 13th place. With the chequered flag out the drivers were finishing their last attempt. Gasly was unable to improve remaining in 6th place.

Q3

Drivers immediately made their way on the track. With first laps finished the times were in a time range of 1:09 to 1:10s. So far Leclerc managed to be in 1st place, yet Piastri soon took it from him. So far the positions looked as following: Piastri, Leclerc, Bearman, Antonelli, Russell, Gasly, Lawson, Hadjar, Hulkenberg, Norris.

Antonelli had started a very good attempt, but he was slower in the third sector, which cost him a possible pole position.

After a quick stop in the pits, drivers made their way back on the track for final push. Leclerc had fastest sector 1 and could take pole position. Meanwhile Bearman finished his lap but was unable to improve. Leclerc took the pole position from Piastri, but not for long, as Norris with fastest second sector took the provisional pole position.
