The afternoon MotoGP practice session saw intense action as riders battled for a spot in Q2. Bezzecchi, Acosta, and Quartararo exchanged the lead multiple times, while crashes from Martin, Marquez, and Chantra kept the track unpredictable. In a dramatic finish, Alex Marquez failed to make the top 10, sending him to Q1 for the first time this season.
The afternoon practice session started with the riders going immediately on track. This session is important, as the top 10 riders will advance straight into Q2.
Just like in the morning session, everyone had a medium rear tyre, and then the riders chose either hard, medium, or soft at the front. From the start, Raul Fernández was seen being pushed by the marshal on the scooter, as he had some technical difficulties.
The times initially ranged from 1:49 to 1:44. After the first five minutes, the top 10 looked as follows: Zarco, Aldeguer, Binder, Mir, Bezzecchi, Acosta, Miller, Bastianini, Marini, and Rins.
The first yellow flag of the session was caused by Jorge Martin crashing at Turn 5. Meanwhile, at the front, Fermin Aldeguer took the lead from Zarco.
After 15 minutes of the session, both Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia were unable to break into the top 10. Bagnaia spent most of the time completing a lap and returning to the pits for the mechanics. The top 10 then looked as follows: Aldeguer, Zarco, Mir, Morbidelli, Oliveira, Quartararo, Acosta, Miller, Binder, Bezzecchi.
After Marc returned on track, he was able to improve his time and move to 9th place. Meanwhile, at the front, Bezzecchi moved to 2nd place behind Fabio Di Giannantonio. However, this lead didn’t last long, as Fabio Quartararo took the lead with a time of 1:44.044.

Halfway through the session, the top 10 were: Quartararo, Bezzecchi, Acosta, Di Giannantonio, Aldeguer, Zarco, Mir, Morbidelli, Oliveira, Marini.
Meanwhile, Bagnaia started to climb the standings, currently in 13th, while his teammate was in 12th place. There were some mistakes from the riders, such as going too wide in a turn and entering the gravel.
The second yellow flag was caused by Jorge Martin crashing for the second time this session at Turn 7. Just a few minutes later, Alex Marquez crashed at Turn 9, bringing out another yellow flag.
With 20 minutes left, the top 10 looked as follows: Quartararo, Bezzecchi, Acosta, Di Giannantonio, Rins, Aldeguer, Zarco, Morbidelli, Miller.
Meanwhile, Alex Marquez continued to struggle on this track, which he admitted is not one of his favorites. Both Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia were still trying to improve, yet they remained in 14th and 15th place.

As the session neared its end, the riders began improving their times before the final 10 minutes. Bezzecchi was initially in the lead with a time of 1:43.523. But not for long, as Pedro Acosta took the lead with an improved time. Bagnaia also managed to improve, jumping to 3rd place. The top 10 then looked like this: Acosta, Bezzecchi, Di Giannantonio, Zarco, Bagnaia, Marini, Quartararo, Raul Fernández, Miller, Chantra.
With 10 minutes remaining, everyone continued improving. However, a yellow flag was caused by Morbidelli crashing at Turn 9, and another by Jack Miller crashing at Turn 5.
With only 5 minutes left, chaos ensued. Francesco Bagnaia jumped to the lead, while his teammate remained in 14th place. However, this didn’t last long, as Joan Mir took the lead, only for Pedro Acosta to take it shortly after. Acosta then crashed, bringing out another yellow flag.
With one minute left, Somkiat Chantra crashed at Sector 1. Once the checkered flag was out, the top 10 finished as follows: Bezzecchi, Acosta, Marc Marquez, Mir, Di Giannantonio, Marini, Bagnaia, Quartararo, Fernández, Zarco. For the first time this season, Alex Marquez will be in Q1.
