FP2 and qualifying were very busy sessions. The track was drying, so lap times changed all the time. Many riders took turns in the lead. In the end, Bezzecchi took pole position, with Acosta and Quartararo close behind.

FP2

This 30-minute session is used as a warm-up before Qualification. Riders have the last chance to try different tyre options and bike configurations. For this session, the weather was sunny, while the track was wet with dry spots. That’s why most of the riders chose to use medium rain tyres.

The first times were in the range of 1:54 to 1:52. Not everyone went on track; some riders went out but did not finish their timed attempt. With 7 minutes in, the standings were as follows: Morbidelli, Binder, Mir, Bezzecchi, Oliveira, Di Giannantonio, Acosta, Rins, Espargaró.

Soon after, Morbidelli improved his time to the 1:51s and took the lead of the session. It didn’t take long before riders went out on slick tyres. The first to do so were Morbidelli and Jack Miller. With not many riders on track, Jack Miller, on an almost empty track, took the lead of the session and was the first rider to get into the 1:50s.

With the halfway mark reached, more riders made their way onto the track. However, Jack Miller improved his time even more and went into the 1:48s, having over a 3-second gap to Morbidelli in second. Soon after, Oliveira took the lead of the session, pushing his teammate to 2nd. But not for long, Fabio Quartararo took the lead with a time of 1:46.373, showing that Yamaha was dominating this part of the session.

The only rider who managed to get between the Yamahas was Brad Binder, who improved to 3rd place. With 7 minutes left, Pedro Acosta took the lead momentarily before Mir took it. Shortly after, Rins moved into first. The constantly changing lead showed that the track was drying up and lap times were improving quickly.

As the lead continued changing, Binder jumped to the front with a time in the 1:45s, only for others to move ahead with times in the 1:44s. Shortly after, Acosta took the lead with a time of 1:43.331.

Then Fermín Aldeguer went fastest with a time in the 1:42s, with Bagnaia in second. Joan Mir soon took the lead. With 2 minutes left, the top 10 were: Mir, Aldeguer, Bagnaia, Márquez, Bezzecchi, Acosta, Oliveira, Quartararo, Bulega, Marini.

As the session ended, Aldeguer improved again and went into the 1:41s.

Q1

The riders participating in Q1 were: Marini, Morbidelli, Quartararo, Binder, Fernández, Miller, Bulega, Rins, Bastianini, Chantra, Savadori, Oliveira. The fastest two riders from this session advance to Q2.

All riders chose soft tyres front and rear. The first lap times were in the 1:41–1:40 range. From the start, Quartararo and Jack Miller held the top two positions.

As more laps were completed, times improved. Quartararo led with a 1:39.588, with Bastianini in second.

During this session, there was an incident involving Oliveira and Morbidelli, which was investigated by the race stewards. After pit stops, riders returned to fight for the advancing positions.

Raul Fernández, who took part in practice, did not participate in qualifying due to his shoulder injury from yesterday.

With the first timed laps after the final run, Marini improved and jumped to 1st. With just over 2 minutes remaining, a yellow flag came out as Bulega ran into the gravel. Quartararo improved and retook 1st, while Jack Miller improved to 2nd.

With the checkered flag out and no further improvements, Quartararo and Miller advanced to Q2. The stewards later announced that the earlier incident would go without punishment.

Q2

The riders in Q2 were: Márquez, Bagnaia, Acosta, Bezzecchi, Mir, Zarco, Di Giannantonio, Aldeguer, Espargaró, Ogura, Quartararo, Miller. All riders again chose soft tyres.

The first lap times were in the 1:38–1:40 range. After the opening laps, the order was: Quartararo, Bezzecchi, Acosta, Bagnaia, Márquez, Espargaró, Zarco, Mir, Di Giannantonio, Aldeguer, Miller, Ogura.

While most riders improved throughout the run, only Quartararo and Miller managed to improve more significantly early. The top five were: Márquez, Bezzecchi, Acosta, Bagnaia, Quartararo.

After pit stops, riders went back out. On the next fast laps, nearly everyone improved. Bezzecchi moved into provisional pole, with Acosta second and Zarco third.

Alex Márquez crashed, briefly bringing out a yellow flag. Bezzecchi improved again, while Quartararo moved to 3rd. With the checkered flag out, Bagnaia improved to 4th, missing the front row.
