The afternoon MotoGP practice was delayed after morning rain but still gave plenty of action. With Q2 places up for grabs, Pedro Acosta was the fastest, ahead of Johann Zarco and Jack Miller, in a session full of yellow flags and changing weather.

The afternoon practice was delayed due to morning rain, which pushed back all sessions.
This 60-minute-long session was especially important, as the top 10 riders would earn direct entry to Q2.

As the riders had just started their measured laps, about four minutes into the session, the first yellow flag was out, caused by Pedro Acosta, who nevertheless managed to rejoin the track. The first lap times started in the range of 2:00 to 1:58s, already much faster than in the morning.

As the riders completed their second laps, the times improved even further. So far, the top 10 were as follows: Aldeguer, Mir, Bagnaia, Di Giannantonio, Marini, Márquez, Bezzecchi, Quartararo, Zarco, and Espargaró.

With 13 minutes gone, Somkiat Chantra was seen running into the gravel for a short trip before heading to the pits. The majority of riders also returned to the pits to speak with their mechanics.

At the 15-minute mark, the session saw its second yellow flag, this time caused by Raúl Fernández, who made a brief trip into the gravel. With 20 minutes gone, the riders provisionally advancing straight to Q2 were: Aldeguer, Mir, Bagnaia, Di Giannantonio, Marini, Márquez, Bezzecchi, Quartararo, Zarco, and Espargaró.

Most riders chose to run soft tyres at both the front and rear. As the session neared the halfway point, the riders made their way back on track, but the top 10 remained unchanged. On the other hand, some riders were performing better this afternoon than they had in the morning practice, for example, Raúl Fernández, who was 19th in the morning, was now up to 14th. Meanwhile, Bagnaia continued his impressive form.

With 33 minutes gone, Ai Ogura managed to improve and break into the top 10. Otherwise, half of the riders were back in the pits. The top 10 then were: Aldeguer, Mir, Bagnaia, Di Giannantonio, Marini, Márquez, Bezzecchi, Quartararo, Zarco, and Ogura.

Just like in the morning session, the afternoon practice was also halted by rain, with 25 minutes remaining. As most riders returned to the pits, a few stayed out on track, allowing Johann Zarco, one of them, to take the lead as the rain began to fall heavily. However, soon after, Quartararo, who also stayed out, set the fastest time of the session. Shortly after Quartararo completed his lap, the third yellow flag of the session was shown, caused by Álex Márquez crashing at Turn 2.

Meanwhile, other riders made their way back on track and began improving their times. With 15 minutes left, the top 10 advancing riders were: Quartararo, Zarco, Aldeguer, Mir, Bezzecchi, Acosta, Espargaró, Fernández, Morbidelli, and Bagnaia.

With 10 minutes to go, all riders returned to the pits before making their final attempts. Then, they headed back out for one last push.

At this point, Acosta and Marini looked like they could challenge Quartararo and Acosta did just that, taking the lead of the session, with Morbidelli improving to second. Not long after, Augusto Fernández brought out another yellow flag after crashing at Turn 9.

Even Pol Espargaró managed to improve his time, jumping to 23rd place, while Bagnaia officially dropped out of the top 10. With the chequered flag out, Bagnaia was the first to finish the session, ending 12th and therefore missing the top 10. Meanwhile, Álex Rins crashed out at the very end.

It was official: Pedro Acosta topped the afternoon practice, with Zarco second and Jack Miller third.
