Verstappen Racing has confirmed a multi-year partnership with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport from 2026, switching to the Mercedes-AMG GT3. The programme will be operated together with 2 Seas Motorsport.

Verstappen Racing, the team owned by four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen, will move to Mercedes-AMG machinery as part of a newly confirmed multi-year partnership, continuing its involvement in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.

Under the new agreement, the team will campaign the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, operated once again by 2 Seas Motorsport. The car has already been tested by Verstappen at Estoril as preparations build towards the next phase of the project.

2 Seas Motorsport enjoyed a successful 2025 campaign with Verstappen Racing, running the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo that delivered a Gold Cup victory at the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa and the Endurance Cup title with Chris Lulham, Harry King and Thierry Vermeulen.

Strong driver structure confirmed

Chris Lulham will continue with the team and will contest the full GTWC Europe season, joining forces with Daniel Juncadella. Mercedes-AMG factory driver Jules Gounon will complete the trio for the Endurance Cup rounds, including the 24 Hours of Spa.

Last season, Lulham and Vermeulen competed in the Sprint Cup with Emil Frey Racing in a Ferrari 296 GT3, but the new programme marks a fresh direction with stronger factory alignment and continuity through 2 Seas Motorsport.

For Juncadella, the move represents a full-time return to GT World Challenge Europe alongside his newly signed Genesis Hypercar commitments in the FIA World Endurance Championship, while also marking a reunion with Mercedes-AMG machinery after previously racing as a long-time factory driver.
