Red Bull KTM have revealed their bikes, riders and plans for the 2026 MotoGP season. With four strong riders and the final year of the current RC16, the team is aiming high before the new era begins in 2027.
Red Bull KTM have officially shown their bikes, riders and partners for the 2026 MotoGP season. The team’s bikes are again painted in bright orange and dark blue with strong Red Bull branding, making them some of the easiest bikes to recognise on the grid. This year is special for KTM because it is their tenth season in top-level Grand Prix racing. It is also the final season for the current KTM RC16 before new MotoGP rules and a new bike design arrive in 2027.
KTM will race with four riders across two teams. Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder ride for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, while Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales race for Red Bull KTM Tech3. Tech3 continues to work very closely with the factory squad, and all four bikes share the same colours and very similar equipment. All four riders are directly contracted to KTM, which makes the project feel like one big team.
Factory team manager Aki Ajo said last season was special after a difficult start, with steady improvement through better communication and small daily steps forward. He believes in the potential of the bike, the riders and the whole group, and is excited about 2026 while staying patient and focused.
Tech3 team manager Nicolas Goyon called 2025 an emotional season with incredible results and tough moments. He said KTM has supported Tech3 more and more since they started working together in 2019, and that both teams have grown closer. He feels the group is ready for this new season and new era.
KTM Motorsports Director Pit Beirer said the team has four fantastic riders, each with something special. He admitted that last year the package did not always allow everyone to show their full potential, so a main target has been to improve the bike and give each rider what he needs. He is confident in the people, the progress of the bike and the team spirit. While many are already thinking about 2027, he stressed that 2026 is very important and KTM want to take every chance this season.
Last year KTM had mixed results. The RC16 struggled early in the season, but a major upgrade introduced at the Austrian Grand Prix made the bike more competitive. After that, Acosta became a regular podium challenger. KTM finished third in the manufacturers’ championship behind Ducati and Aprilia. Acosta ended the year fourth in the riders’ standings, while Binder had a difficult season by his standards but improved later and finished eleventh overall.
KTM have already started private testing of their 2027 bike, showing their commitment to the future of MotoGP. There is also talk in the paddock about Acosta possibly moving to Ducati in the future, which could mean KTM would need to bring in another young rider if that happens. For now, though, the focus is clear: orange, blue, speed and full effort as KTM aim to make 2026 a strong and successful season.
